Terms and Conditions of Order

We will only accept orders from people aged 18 or over.

It is the customer,s  responsibility to check their order before confirmation. We cannot be held responsible for user errors.

The British Christmas Tree Company (BCTC) reserve the right to revise prices and details at any time without notice. All items are subject to availability.

Any issues with perishable items must be made in writing to us within 7 days of receipt. Claims must be accompanied with a photo that clearly shows the concern.

This also must be received within 7 days.

Any discrepancies, breakages or shortages with your order must be signed for as damaged with the courier and reported with 24 hour of parcel receipt. Refunds may not be possible after this time.

It is the purchaser,s responsibility to return any goods at their expense.

BCTC reserve the right to allow for the possibility of supplying alternative items in the event of us not being able to supply the specific goods ordered. The substituted goods will be of the equivalent quality and price to those ordered. We will contact you first if this unlikely event occurs. If you are unhappy with the substitute goods BCTC will meet the return charges.

As Christmas trees, wreaths and decorations are natural products we cannot be held responsible for slight irregularities in shape, colour and density which may vary from the image shown. We can however, guarantee you will receive an excellent, high quality product.

All sizes are approximate. We reserve the right to deliver trees 6 inches taller than ordered.

Care should be taken when handling the products. It is your responsibility for safe use of the product and accept that any injury or loss arising from it,s use will be your responsibility.

Terms and Conditions of Delivery

All deliveries are made to your door. Delivery personnel are not contracted to install your Christmas tree or remove an packaging.

Deliveries must be checked BEFORE signing. Any breakages, shortages and discrepancies with your order must be signed for as damaged with the courier and reported to us within 7 days of receipt. We cannot accept claims for damaged goods that are signed for as received in good condition. You must retain both the product and packaging .Please e-mail or call and give us as much information about the damage as possible so we can arrange a refund or replacement as appropriate.

Any concerns or complaints regarding perishable items, ie; cut/pot grown trees or wreaths damaged in transit must be accompanied with a photo and reported to us within 2 working days. We can then assess the product and it can be used in any claims against the courier. This also allows us to resolve concerns much quicker.

Trees will be netted and suitably packaged,  protected and dispatched using our chosen courier.

Deliveries are normally made Monday – Friday except when Saturday delivery has been requested. Normal delivery times are 8. 30am to 5pm. Only after these times on your preferred delivery date can an order to classed as late. Please contact us the following working day for an updated schedule. If we know of any expected delays or problems we will contact you.

We endeavour to get your tree and parcels to you on your preferred date. If however this is not possible due to reasons beyond our control we will contact you. We ask you for your understanding at this busy time. Our couriers do everything possible to get your tree to you on your preferred date. If you require your tree for a specific date/occasion we suggest you may want to have it delivered at least 3 days before you need it.

Deliveries cannot be left unattended without a signature unless instructed by yourself. If you are not available to sign for your tree or parcel it can be left in a safe place such as with a neighbour or somewhere safe on your own premises, but we must be advised of these instructions in the comments box when ordering. However we cannot be then held responsible for any damage or theft if we have your permission to leave it unattended.

If you do not choose this option and wish to sign for your tree or parcel and you are not in, you will be left a card with which you can arrange a re-delivery with the courier at a mutually convenient time .It is the customer’s responsibility to contact the courier. If you are not in when re-delivery is attempted and have not agreed for the package to be left unattended, the package will return to the depot. BCTC cannot refund trees that are left un-collected at the depot.

BCTC cannot be held responsible for any actions of our third party couriers.

You must notify us if your delivery has not been delivered within 3 days of your required date. After 5 working days BCTC cannot be held responsible for non-delivery of your goods.

Trees cannot normally be delivered before 28th November. If you require one before please contact us.

All delivery services are offered in good faith. However we do not accept responsibility for items that do not arrive on a particular day. We cannot accept this as a valid reason to cancel your order. If you refuse your delivery or part of you delivery for this reason or any other reason except for damaged or incorrect items sent, you will be refunded minus the delivery cost and the cost of returning the product to us.
